adofactory GitHub

Software for a household, built like a product.

adofactory is a small workshop of self-hosted apps. Each one replaces a service a family or a small team would otherwise rent: an issue tracker, a wiki, a messenger, a design tool, a website builder, sign-in, email. They are written to be as good as the thing they replace, and they run on a home server.

For every day

Tasks

A keyboard-first issue tracker for a household or a small team, with projects, a workflow, list and board views and one-line quick add. Reminders and a morning digest reach your phone, and a Claude assistant, an API and an MCP endpoint let agents work the board too.

Wave

Channels, DMs and threads, with Claude as a member who answers, searches and catches you up. The best ideas of Google Wave come along: live typing, playing a conversation back step by step, replying to a few selected words, and messages everyone can edit.

Brain

A wiki and second brain: pages and databases in spaces, written together live and linked both ways with backlinks and a graph. It has a daily journal, comments, history and publishing, and Claude can answer questions from everything you have written.

Lantern

A reader for articles, EPUBs, PDFs and feeds, on a page made for reading, or read aloud. Highlights come back in a daily review, and Claude explains a passage or answers from the whole library without spoiling what you haven't read yet.

Tend

Strength training, runs and nutrition, on an iPhone and Apple Watch app with a web app beside it. It builds a periodized program from your goals and recovery, guides every set, logs food from a sentence, and has a Claude coach that still works without a key.

For making things

Design

A Figma-style design tool with an infinite canvas, auto layout, components, variables and prototypes, edited live together. An assistant builds and edits designs, and Claude Code can read a frame over MCP and turn it into code.

Sites

A website builder that publishes static sites from blocks and Svelte components on a live canvas, with content in typed collections. Every build is checked in a real browser for links, SEO and accessibility before it goes live, and rolls back in one click.

Author

Where books, stories and essays get written: a manuscript tree with notes beside it, edited live by several people, with comments and suggestions in the margin. Revision lenses catch repeats and pacing, and Claude reads it back as an editor or a first reader.

Action

An AI-first video editor for the Mac. It transcribes your footage so you edit video by editing text, cuts pauses and filler words in one click, burns in captions and reframes for Shorts, or lets Claude make the edit.

Devtools

Fifty-six developer tools you would otherwise search for a one-off site for: JSON, jq, regex, diffs, JWTs, certificates, cron, a request runner and more. Almost all of them run in the browser, with a searchable history and webhook buckets that catch and replay requests.

The platform underneath

Ark

A Vercel- or Coolify-style deployer for your own server: point it at a repository and it builds, backs up, releases behind a health check and rolls back when the check fails. It manages the databases, buckets and sealed variables apps need, and it serves this page.

ID

One sign-in for every app: an OpenID Connect provider with passkeys first, passwords, people and groups. Admins register apps and hand out one-time sign-in links, and apps with no sign-in of their own can sit behind it at the proxy.

Via

A reverse proxy and gateway in one Go binary: HTTP/1 to HTTP/3, gRPC, TCP and UDP, automatic certificates, load balancing and sign-in at the edge, with a live dashboard. It reads Traefik's configuration and labels as they are.

adofactory/via

Post

Transactional email for the apps, sent through Amazon SES with a developer experience modelled on Resend's. Add a domain, copy its DNS records and send, with templates, a timeline per email, signed webhooks and test keys that never send.

adofactory/post

Workflows

A Claude Code plugin that carries how these apps are built: the skills, the guard hook, the contract and changelog checks and an app template. It is what keeps a new app built, checked and shipped the same way as the rest.
